A brief History
Blue Cross Ghana is a Christian non-governmental organization dedicated to preventing and reducing the harm caused by alcohol and other substance abuse in Ghana. Established in 1906 and affiliated with the International Blue Cross (Switzerland), the organization has a strong legacy of advocacy, education, counselling, and rehabilitation. With a vision to promote decent and dignified lifestyles, especially among the youth, Blue Cross Ghana works through four core areas:
- Education on Prevention
- Advocacy for Drug and Alcohol Policy Reform
- Counselling and Rehabilitation
- Life Skills Training and Integration (LTI)

Our Objective
- To develop and implement suitable preventive programmes on alcohol and other substances abuse;
- To collaborate with other similar Organisations to engage Government and other Agencies to bring about policies to deal with alcohol and other substances abuse in Ghana;
- To provide recovery for victims of dependency on alcohol and other psychoactive substances through Counselling and Rehabilitation; and
- To provide Life-skills Training and Integration (LTI) for recovered addicts.
